Stromung has been around for 20+ years and they are more so a manufacturer than a "tuning brand". They offer OE-level material and fit/finish. Much better than other brands out there pretending to be American when the product is actually bought from China.

Yes, the timeliness of customer service needs improvement but they simply don't have time to sit around and answer every little question people may have on and off the forum.

The dent in the muffler is not a Stromung problem but more so a shipping problem. Which can happen with any brand. Friends of mine have ordered from Gintani before and the tips were crushed FLAT.

Give Scott a break and some time and I'm sure everything will be sorted out.



There is. I have spoke with Scott over the phone and yes there is a difference between the group buy version vs the standard version Stromung offers other than the tips.

I finally received my exhaust this week. Communication was definitely lacking to say the least, I was originally told I would receive the exhaust the week of the 23rd of April. I had to bug them a lot for updates but Scott told me at one point they had dented the black ceramic tips I requested so they had to go back and redo them which I appreciate. I'm sure in the end it will be worth the wait when I get it on the car. Will post pics when it's finished!

I finally installed my exhaust. It is paired with Akrapovic xpipe. I had 2 issues with the fittment. The hanger comes in contact with rear bumper support bracket and 2 the flare that connects to factory exhaust is larger diameter than required.

can't really say much in that regards, considering you have to use adapters for the akra xpipe to even work. but i get it.

unless you have the akra adapters, but most aftermarket made ones can be hit or miss also.

I finally got mine installed. No major issues with fitment. Install was pretty quick and easy mating up to OEM cats. I too found that the back exhaust hangers contact the rear bumper support but mine just touch them and didn’t need to cut or modify anything. No rattling or other issues from that touch point.

Sound is great. It really opens things up and isn’t raspy. I do get some noise (drone?) at low speeds but cruising (highway) speeds are fine. Downshifts are fantastic now. Car sounds much better. Overall happy with it for the price and quality.

Mine is an E93 and it fits easily.
