Yes, that would work. 245/45/17 would be a perfect front tire match. The rear would be a bit harder to exactly match the overall diameter of stock, but that is not too big of an issue. There are many 275/40/17's and some 285/40/17's available.

Do the 17's fit over the stock brakes as well?
The Kumho V710 comes in 275/40 and 295/40-17. The Hoosier A6 and R6 come in the same 275 size, 295/35-17, and 315/35-17's. Lots of good DOT R-compound options in those sizes. The car can fit 295's in the front and 315's at stock or near-stock ride height with the right offsets. With 17" wheels if you're running the Hoosiers, you'd be saving about $100 per set of tires with the same width availability as the 18's. Win/win! Thanks for developing this guys, you've renewed my faith in humanity.

17x10" square with 275/40/17's should be a do-able setup. But We'll confirm it with a test fitment.

If you're restricted to AD08 tire size availability, I would pick up 265/35/18 fronts and 295/30/18 rears.

Eddie, how about 18x9.5/10.5 et 35/27 wheels on an e90? Spacers? Tires are 255/35 and 285/30 AD08. These are from my Mcoupe

I am assuming these are for an E90 M3. If you buy tires in the future you'd want them to be taller in the rear and wider/taller in the front.

What would be a recommended set up for a stock 2008 e93 for Auto-X? I was thinking about getting 18'' wheels with square 265/35 or 275/35, but very confused with all the spacers, rubbing, and offsets questions because people always discuss e90/e92 and I'm not sure how e93 body and weight difference would work. Also not sure if the square set up is ideal for Auto-X. Bunch of questions =)

The Apex set up eliminates spacers, which are only needed when people buy wheels not designed for their cars, or want to alter the offset for looks. With Apex you avoid that added weight and complication. The square set up allows you to trail brake deeper into the corners. The unloaded turn-in with a staggard set up feels better, but for AX you don't want to turn-in unloaded. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then staggard vs. square won't matter to you anyway. I don't know the weight distribution of the E93 vs. the E92, but I suspect that it has a little more rear weight bias. If so, then it'll rotate more easily. I know that the E93 has a slightly larger rear sway bar, so the balance may actually be very close. It's probably something that you can tune with tire pressures to suit your driving style. I use the Dunlop Direzzas and run 34/28 F/R. Until you know your car on the course, I'd suggest starting at around 34/32 and adjusting from there. Please report back after an event or two. That will be a direct fitment with no rubbing on your convertible M3. The square setup can be rotated, which is ideal for an autocross setup. The corners are very sharp and you'll be putting a lot of wear on the outer edge of your front tires if you don't have camber plates and a lot of negative camber dialed in. Rotating your setup front to back will save you a lot of money.

I should add, the pressure setting I recommended earlier in the thread were for a lowered car with almost -2 degrees of camber. You'll need higher pressure, particularly in front, if your camber is closer to stock.

Seat time is key to development. If your club has an AX school, take it to get more time and also benefit directly from some experienced drivers. My club has some designated trainers at all events and we ride with the novices, if requested. Take advantage of that if it's an option at you club.

Just picked up some ARC-8 in Anthracite. 9.5/10.5 on 265/285 AD08s. Couldn't have been more happier with this. No rub whatsoever on stock suspension.
Nice meeting you guys at Apex Raceparts and thanks again for the tire mount & balance. Hope to see you guys out at the track sometime.

What offset on the front and what profile tire did you get?
I just put on my Mcoupe's set on the E90. 9.5/10.5 at 35/27mm offset. I did it with no spacer but I'm running 255/35 and 285/30. I'm shopping proper tires now.

I was just following their recommended setups on the first page.
"18x9.5" Front 265/35/18 - 18x10/10.5" Rear 285/35/18 or 285/30/18" And I was sort of limited with AD08's selection. Quote:
I think I'll be purchasing a 12mm spacer soon to bring the rear out a little more. I think it'll look perfect with the 12mm.
