Ive been mulling over the idea of getting exhaust. Ive watched every video I can find but that doesnt do it for me. Who here has aftermarket exhaust AND will be at Cars and Coffee and what do you have?

I'm in the same boat, but my conclusion is this:

1. XPIPES: HFCs and XPIPE - fabspeed xpipe v2 resonated or the Gintani
2. Axle Back: Supersprint, Ginatani, or Eis Sport.

I don't want it too loud so I'm leaning away from Gintani, although it sounds good.

Here are the member's that have an aftermarket exhaust on their M3, and will also be present at our meet:

SHADY1 (Remus Race w/AA catless x-pipe)
DevJ (Eisenmann Race Rear section)
Nawaaz (Gintani Race w/Gintani catless x-pipe)

***I don't know if gb007 (Greg) will be at our meet, but he does have the AA rear section, which does sound very good.

That's actually true. Now that I think of it, I'd be disappointed with anything less louder lol.

Awesome. I was hoping to get away without buying more than cat back but if its worth doing, its worth doing right. I hope GB007 does come. AA is on the short list I'd love to hear in person. Ill have my stock exhaust tuned up and ready for anyone who'd like to hear that...

Although I'm assuming Nawaaz can't hear anything under 100db

I like the eisenmann race. I'm going to get fabspeed xpipe with hfcs probably in the summer. Waiting a little bit longer on the CEL issue..

Suprane has an eisenmann sport. I'm not sure about the others! What were you looking for in an exhaust? we can all throw in our $0.02!

I was thinking Eisenmann or Remus. I think they sound alot alike. Remus seems to be a good bang for the buck. I was listening to AA today and it sounded good too.

All this is based on online videos tho. I am looking forward to hearing anything in person.

I dont want over the top loud like Nawaaz but I dont want to spend money on exhaust for a tiny change either. And if my V8 sounds like a ricer I will burn down the manufacturers headquarters.

My eisenmann race is pretty loud, but nowhere near the sound of full GINTANI catless exhaust. Also member ssh229, Andrew, has the meisterschraft gt2 (sp?) I've heard it's very loud, but I've yet to hear it in person.

How much $$ are you willing to spend ? That's also a factor that can help narrow it down to a few exhausts. Also, are you willing to cut your pipes up or do you prefer connecting pipes?

I'm undecided on setting a $ amount now bc I would be willing to buy used. I dont want a $4k exhaust system either. I saw a Remus going for 1k. If I liked the sound of that in person I would be down for that. But I think it will be hard for me to buy something I havent heard in person. So to answer your question I would like something on the less expensive side but only if it makes me smile when I press the pedal on the right.

I would prefer to go with connecting pipes to make it easier to go back to stock/change in the future.

Ideally I would like something throating with a bit of an exotic sound to it.
