It was great to meet you as well. Your car sounds wicked from the little bit I heard. These will work on both the coupe & sedan. Let me know if you want them and I can have them shipped to you in 4 1/2min

The meet looked great - sorry I couldn't make it. Hopefully I'll be at the next one.

Yes, the lag is present. Is it bad? No. IMO not nearly as bad as everyone making it out to be. I hardly ever drive in auto tho. If I'm looking for the lag and want to make it happen (not shifting down into 1st when possiblility of not coming to a complete stop) I can find it. Other then that it's not an issue. I'm guessing your car will have at least version 31.1

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Do you have information that v31.1 prevents or reduces the lag issue? I'm just wondering why you brought it up (I'm pretty ignorant!) . . .

Canada is WAY behind the U.S. with the updates as they are well past 31.1. I had many manual cars over the years and love the DCT. If I had to do it all over again I would pick DCT. This is the first one I liked, I didn't like SMG at all and other brands don't get it quite right to me.

I talk to Colin Grant at Calgary BMW all the time. Just ordered Dinan Spring set. Just ask to see if he can work out a deal for you. |

If you are a member of the SABMW Club we get 10 or 15% off (can't remember which one) all parts ordered. And yes, Collin at Calgary BMW is the Dinan specialist who I deal with too. I've ordered camber plates and software through him which are installed and the Dinan diff goes in on Friday (through Collin as well).

Has anyone here had problems with their tinted windows?
Something on the inside of the doors is scratching the tint. I called BMW Canada and they have not heard anything yet but in the US there has been a lot of similar issues. Appreciate any feedback. |

Yes, I believe (not 100%) that is how the camber is installed. SABMW is Southern Alberta BMW Club. http://www.sabmwclub.com/ $60.00 per year. My car is back on the road with 4 new tires (guess they shoulda been WINTER tires!! WTF??) and the Dinan Diff... Although I'm in my break-in period of 2000km I can tell the 15% more tq is amazing!! Anyone with DCT I highly recommend.

Anyone know a good place to get a lazer jammer installed, and my radar detector hardwired? I've been putting it off but there are way too many cops around now. I went to a place yesterday but the quote was pretty high, looking to see if there are other options.

A question regarding quality of workmanship is obviously subjective. That being said If you don't mind driving to Edmonton though I can gaurantee you will have THE BEST installer in Alberta I can speak of working on your M3. I worked in the industry for several years to know the good from the bad. Pm me for his contact info if you like.
Btw, can I ask what you plan on using for a jammer & radar?

Tunerworks? I have the Dinan exhaust (ordered from Colin) sitting at Calgary BMW waiting for me to get back home..I was going to get the Dinan Flash as well, but I would like to talk to some other shops to see whats available in the calgary area....Also, what about intakes? I see the thread about the $850 Dinan intake system, but I am looking for something a little more realistic in price....any reccomendations from the group? price? ordered from?? tia jc |
