My keen observational skills lead me to deduce that you'd like me to put yellow wheels (also knowns as "shoes") on my car.

A Big thanks to EAS & IND... & Bimmerpost
I wanted to extend a big big thank you to Tom, Steve and Anthony over at EAS and Nate and Ilia over at IND. They've gone out of their for me on a customer service level and they deserve to have their hard work get recognized in our forums (even if its for the millionth time). There's a reason why these company's have reputations which precedes them - their employees are phenomenal, and so too is their customer service.
We're lucky to have not only the wealth of information available to us on these forums, but to have the support of sponsors like these. We get great prices, highly valuable advice, valuable product knowledge, as well as a community to discuss with. So in that regard... Thank you Bimmerpost. Anyway, EAS just got this shipped to them from IND. IND painted, prepped and test-fitted it. EAS will be installing it. Thanks for the team work guys.

I'm getting the M-stitched DCT boot custom done through a contact of EAS's. If you're interested in one, you should probably contact EAS. Regarding the OHLINS.. I'm waiting patiently. Hope they come out soon. - esquire

Esquire - how do you like the windshield tint? Is the 60% too dark (ie. noticeable by police or difficult for night driving)? I just spoke with my tint folks in SD who installed my huper on the side/back windows and they recommended going with ~70% and using a different brand on the windshield for films above 60% (easier to install and within 1% or 2% of huper's heat rejection). Any insight based upon your experience with the 60% Huper on the windshield is appreciated.

Dodge - mine is technically 40%. The lower the number the darker the tint. So 60% would not be dark at all. 40% (what i have) imo might even be a hair too light. I waiver on my decision to go 40% rather than 30%. When you say they recommended going 70% I"m going to assume you meant 30% (the inverse). I think you'll see that the heat rejection between these two films (Huper 30, and Huper 40) are almost the exacccct same. It's really an aesthetic thing. The good thing about Huper is that when you look outdoors from inside the cabin, you'll barely notice any difference. In other words it doesn't affect your cabin visibility very much. So i guess what it comes down to is personal taste. Do you like darker tint or no? Personally, I do. If I had it to do over again I would probably go 30 all around and 50 on my windshield. But for now, it will do Take a look through the thread to see how the tint looks from different angles and during different times of day. Should give you a pretty solid idea of what you'll be seeing on your car. - esquire

I did mean 70%...as in only 30% blockage of UV. My installer didn't recommend going below that amount for the windshield due to visibility concerns and detection. On my side and back windows, I went with Huper 40 if I remember correctly (could have been 30)...meaning that it blocks 60% and is darker.

Thanks for the reply....I'll contact your installer as SD Tint didn't make me feel great about their Huper abilities on the windshield.
Oh, and congrats on COTM!

You guys should check out 3M Crystalline instead of Huper. The specs about the same as both have 99% UV rejection however my local detailer says 3M is better. I also saw a demo and it's awesome stuff.
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...ineWindowFilm/ I would do it on my car, maybe 70% front and 50% all around however it cost double the amount of regular tint. I guess you can't go wrong either either choice, just tossing it out there that there's another product besides Huper.
