I test fit some 285/35/18 on a 18x10.5 + 22 (my current rear setup) to see if they would clear in the front on my Ohlins R&T (given the reduced spring clearance vs. others). Some interesting results relative to the other discussions on clearance here. Ideally looking to run either a 285/30/18 or 295/30/18 on the front. 285 should be no problem, I think 295 might require a small spacer.
Also got some funny looks while driving around with the most staggered setups.

18x11 ET25 is "doable" if you are not afraid of taking risk.. with your suspension and body panel(s) (some trimming, some flattening/pulling) 18x11 ET18 is the MOST aggressive you can go squared... but this will require some "minor/major" fender work, but doesn't involve a wide body/flare kit. for reference.. i run 18x10.5 ET15 with a 275/35/18 F/R and 285/35/18 F/R

because they asked specifically for clearance. lol
which rounded Michelins do not help at all to achieve, maximum wheel spec + size.

appreciate the clarification. So you're saying the bulge in the sidewall reduces clearance relative to a more square 275/35. I'm not at the slick level yet but will keep in mind as I look at other tire options.

this is 18x11 ET18 w/ 295/30 granted this one has a lot of fender work for ET18, but at ET37 you could run it fairly easily with proper suspension / alignment.

hey FYI, the gold coating on these nuts will come completely off within three wheel mounting cycles if you use an impact for both on and off.
the non marring wheel nut sockets will also eat the coating as theres a bunch of friction when trying to remove the socket from these nuts when knew. I tossed new ones on 2 weeks ago just for looks as the ones installed last year are now gray, and decided to use a breaker bar and low speed impact for removal/install versus just breaking them off with an impact at full speed... and the coating still looks like it'll come completely off fairly quickly. |

Michelin racing slicks - and the latest PSCups - don't typically have rim protectors - as far as I recall, but the street Michelins you're running do - such as PS4S and PSS. So tires without a rim protector help achieve more clearance. See the images below for more clarity. . https://michelinracingusa.com/race-tires/ .
