You are welcome in Louisiana anytime and I'm up for a hunt in the Texas panhandle for white tail. Fantastic area and amazing deer.

Hmmm....soooooo tempting:

Original Soviet made Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-23 twin-barreled automatic aircraft cannon parts kit, 23x115mm. Demilled barrels. Probably a no-go in Cali.

But Lups is a man!

It's going pretty well actually. Usually ride for about an hour a day right now, it's really made me want to get a road bike for when it warms up, but that's way out of the budget.

Not in my garage!

Good to hear! I was very surprised to see how quickly my cardio capabilities increased from riding regularly. You probably started in better cardio shape than i was in.

An hour a day is pretty fantastic, assuming you're working hard enough. No way i could ride Lups for an hour a day. She'd kill me!

You can find some deals on eBay and CL for frame sets. Buy everything separate and build it yourself. You strike me as mechanically inclined. You could also buy a set of wheels and hybrid tires to switch out on your current bike. That would make for better road riding.

It's not always a consistent hour, sometimes a half hour, but I figure if my ass is just going to be sitting on the couch, might as well try to get a decent ride. I'm not really pushing it too hard, just getting back in the groove. I still haven't gotten a new seat, so it does start to kill my ass after some time.

That's actually not a bad idea, would be pretty fun buying one and putting it all together. I'm sure some curse words will be said, tools thrown, people not involved get yelled at. Hell yeah!

Any good recommendations on a decent starter frame?

Quick search came up with this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/road-bike-fr...UAAOSwezVWui97

There is a Canaondale Synapse frame on there too for the same price, but you'd have to source a fork for it as well. The Marin linked above comes with fork, nice looking frame as well. Nice thing about doing it this way is that if you get into it, you can just upgrade your frame since you'll have all the components.

(notice i didn't give you a "back handed" like like Biorin did for me last week.)

Sweet, that's more affordable. Maybe that will be my next purchase, build a road bike, instead of more firearms.

BP OT has turned me into a shopaholic. It's all your and C5's fault.

Sorry. I sometimes need help myself.

I just asked a few friends if they had extra frames laying around and so far, none do. They all claim they're going to build them as a spare....
