After all the hype with the 1M and all the speculation on the F3X series,
I'm SO GLAD I have my E90 M3. It's the best car for me. I plan to hang on to it for a long time.

Wow, I was only off by a month, since my prediction (thanks to my ///M contact) was November 2011.

I agree, that’s why I have two (2) M3s.

As far as desireability, 5, 10, 15 years from now, will the latter production e90be more desireable than the first production models of the generation?

When it comes to older cars, the last few years of any given model always command the highest price and most demand, as they typically have the most features, styling improvements, and shorter production runs. This is the typical scenario, but there are exceptions to the rule. But not when it comes to mass-produced lines like the 3-series. |

I have 9/28 ED confirmation on a e90 M3.
My very first M3 purchase (actually first BMW purchase). I will keep this vehicle for a long long time. Probably my first and last M3. Will keep it until I can afford a GT3 or GT3 RS. |

I hope I'll be able to say the same thing about my soon-to-have E92 M3. I said the same thing you said when I got my 323i brand new back in 2000. Never thought I'd get rid of her and planned on keeping her forever, but 11 years later I'm ready to move on. I accomplished everything I wanted with that car... everything from winning car shows to magazine/newspaper exposure to bringing my girls home from the hospital in my 323i after they were born. I'm ready for a new project car and to just enjoy life to the fullest with me behind the steering wheel of a new M3.
