Order new M3 should I get 220M 19"? or Stock 18"?

I am leasing an M3 for 3 years and I love the 19" 220M wheels but paying $1300 as an option when order rather than the stock 18" really keep me thinking.

Should I just keep the 18" stock use it until the lease return requirement 4/32 on the tires and go buy a used set of 220M 19" for $2600 to use? Switch the 18" back before the lease turn in?

Or should I just order the 220M 19" for $1300 options and use it and replace with non RFT during the lease duration?

Thanks!

OH MY GOD, I guess I am going with the 19" wheels if it is not too late to change.

Either I am stupid or I didn't love the M3 much enough to know that it doesn't have RFT.

Sorry! I own a Mini S and a 135i and it does have RFT..... so it is costly to replace.

On a lease, you will only be paying for a portion of the $1300, perhaps $600 over the lease term. The 220s are a no brainer.

If you like the 220M's get them. They don't add much cost to your lease. The ride may be a little worse that the 18's, but the 19's are forged rather than (flow formed cast). They are a terrific bargin at $1300 extra.

Oh yeah - great job smmmurf

To the OP: Don't feel bad, there are lots of BMW salesmen and service advisors out there telling people that M3's have run flats. It's an easy indicator of how full of....stuff your CA/SA is.

Thank you all, I did go for the 220's since buying a used 220 to put on is very expensive, it cost over $1200 for 4 used rims not in perfect condition... I figure when my thread is about 4/32 on the OEM tires, I will switch them to other brand and use that during my lease term. Going to put the original back on when I return it... :-)

My car just went into production today with completion date of April 20th!
