Re-use studs?
I'm taking my car to the dealer tomorrow for some service. Don't want any unnecessary questions so I uninstalled the Turner wheel studs that were installed last spring. Does anyone know if they can be re-used after being heated... or should I just buy a new set & call it good?

If I do use locktite, should it be red or blue?

Torque for studs to hub is quite low, around 20 ft-lbs. Some vendors give a value, others say finger tight. You should use high temp red loctite on them.
Lug nut to stud torque is normal, I use 85-90 ft-lbs. Dave |

The shop that did my studs said the same thing. Hand tighten(about 16ft-lbs I read) with loctite, then torque lugnut to ~88ft-lbs.
