Best Tires

I'm looking to purchase a new set of rims/tires soon. More than likely I will run 275/35/19 in the rear and 245/35/19 in the front. What brand/model tires do you guys recommend to go with for the best performance? I definitely don't want to go cheapo on tires. Any feedback would be helpful.

there's a wheels/tires forum for things like this, Michelin PS2's are pretty much the standard here

Yokohama AD08's I hear nothing but good stuff about them... Never had anything else on this car besides the PS2's though

Yeah, check out the Wheels + Tires forum. You will get many opinions. Best for street? PS2s are great, but I frankly think Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas are just as good for 60% of the price.

PS2's are being discontinued. Michelin Super Sports appear the ticket going forward.

Why do so many people run the rears so much bigger than the front? You don't like turning?

Regardless of tire, I would recommend against increasing the stagger in f/r sizes. The PS2 is a great all around street tire. The AD08 is a better dry traction and track tire, with stiffer sidewalls and sharper turn in response. It is not especially good in the wet, and it’s noisier than the PS2.

No love for the RE-11's?

They are by far one of the best tires available for the stock rims period!

Conti P5. I've also had PS2 Cups and Vredesteins for the record.
