Short Delivery Date Question
I've seen several posters around referencing delivery dates that are days (and sometimes weeks) away. The M3 I ordered hit the VPC almost a week ago which I would think puts the car significantly closer than some of the stated delivery dates I've seen here in the forums.
So, the question - is it usual to get a date from the dealer well in advance of delivery, or are these instances of some dealers being more on top of the vehicle tracking than might be the norm? I'm mostly just curious; this is the first BMW I've ordered, I like my dealership and they've been the best experience I've had in town, but 1/3 dealers in town is a pretty small sample size as compared with experiences country wide. The only reason I knew my exact date of delivery was because I did Performance Delivery at the factory in South Carolina. It's very popular delivery so they schedule exact days. Don't know about others.

Good to know; wanted to do PC but rarely get time away from work (and I'm already going to be taking a couple days to get through 1200 mi real quick like!).
Thanks for the info much appreciated. |
