Springs and S/c cant decide????
hey guys got two queries help me out here ...
1. Im thinking of changing the springs of my car but would it affect the EDC option that is would the EDC still work.??? 2. I am planning a supercharger in the long run so can you please suggest which one . Ive read about the ESS , G-power , Gintani but cant decide. Btw ive ordered a meisterschaft gt2 with the sec 2 connecting pipes and should be here next week or so and also ordered carbon fiber interior trim from BMW and ordering a cf hood and trunk soon . 1. Yes it will still work. It only controls the valving in the shocks not the springs.
2. Picking which supercharger you want should be your decision, but I do know I wouldn't pick the G-power.

If you supercharging I would then go for a coilover as you would need the best set up for additional power and speed the SC will give you.
Coilovers would require an EDC delete modules. I have KWV3 with this option and it is the best IMO. I had H and R sport springs but they dot perform well compared. stage II 575 ESS is what I went for. I would suggest you search for the ESS threads and also for coilover threads if you want to read up some more. If pm me your email, I can email you some pics and info. Nate at IND has helped me with all items, and I would also suggest a Brembo BBK if you are going SC as well as a mid pipe with HFCs |

You don't need coilovers for the power and speed of a supercharger. It sounds like he wants to retain the use of his EDC.

I don't want to turn this into a debate thread. You can find the threads discussing the G-power and the problems with it.

There is a used Gpower for sale in the sale section...
You should wait until the weekend before you make your choice between other companies. More information coming soon...

EDC will still work. It'll be stiffer than stock, but it'll still work. Get either RD Sport, Eibach, or Dinan, depending on what you're looking for. Eibach seems to be winning the popularity contest in our community right now. Alternately, you can do as I did and get KW V3's. You may lose EDC, but trust me, they're very nice. |

Before you buy springs, you should talk to Jay at Ground Control. I've had Eibach springs and Moton coilovers on my car and I can say that the GC coilover conversion kit for EDC cars is really nice and should be considered before you make your final decision. So I think it's at least worth a phone call...
Thanks, BC

I'd go with Gintani because they are reliable, make a lot of power, and are backed by legit people who are there for you if something ever goes wrong or if you are unhappy.

Didn't G-Power pay for the repairs?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

be warned, going from NA to FI is never an easy task and most likely will leave you wanting something else. if you want something faster then just shop for a faster car.

If you end up going with forced induction, I suggest the Gintani Supercharger kit.
With a supercharger, it is in your best interest to get a coilover setup as well as a big brake kit (BBK). KW V3 Coilovers are very popular, and seem to be a good cheap alternative to Motons. For the BBK, you cant go wrong with StopTech, Brembo, AP Racing, and Wilwood (Coming Soon).
