Best Brake Upgrade
Hi Guys
Just after some advice on which you feel is the best brake upgrade option or options for me. I am planning on doing two or three tracks days this year but don't want anything that I need to change so I want them for every day road use as well. I am on 19" twin spoke alloys, so need to know if I will have to upgrade the calipers or not (sorry if I seem a bit dumb but I have never upgraded brakes before) Any help would be very gratefully received! If I didn't want to fit a kit then which pads would you guys also recommend? Marcus Last edited by KadeSdad; 01-27-2010 at 09:04 AM.. |

2. Stoptech kit The Brembos are 1 piece calipers and I think the Stoptechs are 2 piece calipers. The AP Racing brakes are used by the M3 GT cars so I assume they must by the $hit but they don't look as good as the Brembos IMO. -SZ |

In addition to what SUB-ZERO mentioned, depending on your budget, you may just need to upgrade your pads, another option could be Bimmerworld's Stage 1 upgrade kit:

Only two to three track days. Spending a couple grand isn't worth it! Buy some stainless steel brake lines, some Hawk HPS or Pagid Gelb pads add some Castrol SRF or Motul brake fluid and call it a day and save a ton of money. Obviously your not a professional and the car is probably more capable than you think.
