On a totally unrelated front, is anyone posting in thread moved to the regional forum? I have to come to the Engine forum to see the updates...so I post from there as well.

What's the difference between the U.S.-spec & Euro-spec launch feature in terms of adjusting the rpm's? I know in the U.S.-spec, you can vary the rpm's by +/- 500 rpm's, thx!

Can somebody make a call to Vivid Racing and ask what the rates are for the dyno time will be or is Mike going to take care of this? I note that Vivid Racing in Arizona is offering a three pulls for $50 special right now. If we can all get the dyno tune done for $50-$100 that will make this deal sweet.

I still don't understand why turning off the secondary O2 sensors costs extra and the tune is called Stage II and costs $200 more. Can someone explain this to me? The car still needs the same amount of tuning your just disabling the checking of the rear O2 sensors so we don't get a check engine light.

I've spoken to Todd @ Vivid Racing from Houston, and I gave him all the details of what we were wanting to do. He was saying that we could rent out their dyno machine for the day. He asked me to shoot him an email, and he'll give me further pricing after he emails me back.

I'll update everyone ASAP on what kind of group pricing we're looking at. Thank you.

You're probably right man. I'll keep in touch with Todd, and see what will work out best for all of us.

I'm planning to stay overnight in Houston, since I can understand that it'll take lots of time to thoroughly tune our M3's to the fullest.

Most shops will open up Saturday and or Sunday for a dyno day. I would expect about 2 hours of dyno time per car at $75 to $100 an hour.

+1

My neighbor, who has an R32, is interested, but wants to look into it a little more.

I think we need to set a date soon. My vote is to do this early October or mid-October at the latest. November is not going to be a good month for me.

The sooner, the better for me. I'm DOWN for early-mid October.

That day is good, but what does everyone think about the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October? I assume it'll take about 2 full days to complete the tuning for all of us, and the 4th of October will work perfectly for me since it's a Sunday.

What does everyone think?

Honestly, the weekend of the 3rd and 4th would be best for me. I'd leave very early from Dallas and show up on 2nd day of the tuning, which would be the 4th (Sunday) since that would be better for me compared to the 3rd.

Would Vivid racing's dyno be open on the 4th (Sunday)?

We'll make Vivid Racing be open on Sunday since it's going to b a special event! I think Oct. 3 and 4 is good too. About a month away, so still plenty of time for Mike and all of us to calendar it and make arrangements.
