RDSport / Racing Dynamics E9X M3 Chassis Kit
I just got this put on my car a few weeks ago and it is absolutely amazing. I didn't spec my car with EDC so that's not an issue, but I think it's a bit of a gimmick in this car anyways so I would recommend this upgrade even if you have EDC. This is what the M3 should feel like from the factory, it makes the car feel lighter, more controlled, and the ride hight is perfect. It’s infinitely better than any coilover setup I've tried. Unless you are constantly on the track and need to make adjustments this is the way to go: properly tuned to RDSport / Racing Dynamics specs. I believe my kit is the first in North America, so here are a few pics. I would give the Chassis Kit my highest recommendation to any M3 driver.

This looks like the best option for those looking for a street/school setup
Subtle drop with preset settings for people inexperienced with picking and choosing the correct specs to dial in. I would go with this over coilovers if I weren't tracking the car |

What is the price for this setup? Do they sell just the shocks? Does anyone else sell shocks yet to pair with the H&R springs?

ND since the RD sport thread I've been waiting to see your car and finally! Your car looks simply amazing! With this suspension it also have the proper stance and handling.

Looks nice and Bilstein makes a great product. I don't know why someone would say the EDC is a gimmick - the softest setting is very soft and the stiffest is pretty solid. It is not a mild change IMO.

I think it's a gimmick not because it doesn't change the ride feel, but because the sport mode only gives the illusion of sportiness while actually increasing lap times; all it does is make the ride rough. Any BMW instructor will tell you to keep it on normal mode on the track because it adapts to the conditions. As far as comfort mode is concerned, I don't see the need for it in this type of car. I guarantee with this chassis kit your M3 will be faster than any stock EDC car, or an EDC car with springs, and even on my car with 20" wheels the ride is fantastic.

I'm sure the kit is excellent, but I think EDC is an excellent OEM system. Obviously if you are going to tweak the suspension, or track the car a bunch, then it probably isn't the best system. |
