LOL...using the recommended 10w60 is definitely a good idea since there are only a handful of companies that make this grade. So yeah, stick with the OEM Castrol TWS.

I am using the REDLINE oil I think its much better the OEM because you can feel a difference of the oil temp climbing slower and dropping faster.
But on the downside its a little bit pricey

Redline makes a 10w-60? I hate it when I miss the memos!

No, unfortunately they don't make 10w-60 synthetic motor oil.

In fact, they don't have anything that's even close...

Maybe he was just kidding?

I remember reading that it's Group IV, but not from an authoritative source. Some reference:

So you are saying that RED LINE oil makes a secret 10w-60 synthetic engine oil?

Please post up that photo of this mystery oil. I'm very interested to see it.

It's strange that it's not on their own website...

I ran Red Line motor oil in my E36 M3 a looooooong time ago.

So they make it, but nobody's heard of it, it's not on the Red Line's own site, and a Google search for "red line 10w60" or any variation thereof yields nothing.

I'd say if you have pictures you either have photoshop, or a magic marker.

How in the world did you end up with this oil in your engine anyway?

OK, help me out here, you wouldn't want to use 10w-60 in the cold weather right and is this just to top it off, what is in there now, sorry if this is a stupid question but I thought it would screw the engine up if used other than in warm weather, am I wrong?

That is the only recommended oil year around, AFAIK.
