Gintani SC kit = Game Over
So when I first purchased my e90 M3 I had no plans of ever putting any kind of forced induction kit on it. Ive always been the all motor type of guy, then I met the guys at Gintani. As most of u know Ive been rockin all of Gintanis bolt ons and have been very pleased with them all around, from performance to quaility and sound.
After being around their shop so often and watching the making of their SC kit I really started getting interested. I saw the prototype get tuned, dynoed, tested and completed. They then took me for a ride in it, since that day I could not stop thinking about the sc kit. The car was very fast yet the driveability was like stock. The cars tuning was great, no kind of idle problems when sitting at a light or when at full WOT. So I decided to pull the trigger and became their first customer. So after a week of driving my car with the sc kit here are my impressions: The car is in a whole different league. It dynoed at 450whp with only 5lbs of boost on a dyno dynamics and at 505whp on a DynoJet. The Intake manifold even after several hours of hard driving stayed very cool. My vehicle temp when really pushing my car only rises to about 215 degrees. Cold start ups in the morning are as if my car was still stock, just with a whine under the hood :-) Ive made some comparo runs and I can tell u right now this is one of the strongest kits out there. Here are some dyno charts and pics. Updated pics on pg. 6 more pics

I wanna thank all the guys at Gintani for getting my car out and running in less than a week. I was very impatient and they understood, the intake housing is still going to get re-done in carbon but I just wanted to drive my car around so they made it work. Thanks a lot, Gintani FTW!

I beleive it will be around 15k. but please keep in mind their intake manifold is all c&c machined not just some put together sheet metal and they are running an air to water cooler rather then just air to air. This has all been flow tested etc.

Not if AA's SC kit comes out at $18k. And is the $15k before or after install?? The AA does not include installation according to another thread.
Looks like a great kit. Congrats. I'd love to feel the power of this thing |

450whp! That's a lot of juice. Especially considering the crap you people put in your gas tanks.

Hell no.
AA hasn't released official pricing yet. That $18K was just a rumor, and AA has already denied that rumor. |

Well idk what u guys are expecting but i spoke to aa, vf and ess at bimmerfest and Ill tell u right now dont be expecting anything much cheaper then that for the sc kits. 15k is a fair price considering how much research, time and development it took Gintani and is taking other companies to make an sc kit for this car. The DMEs on the s65 engine is no joke, the tuning alone takes months. That being said the price may be less or it may be more who knows it all depends, this was just a ballpark number since thats what was asked. I received a discount do to I was the first customer to purchase their kit and Im helping them with their next project (which by the way is gonna be insane).
