Philly Car Show - M3 Meet?
Hello all,
Philadelphia Auto Show is coming up (Jan 31st - Feb 8th). Check out the link above. Was gauging interest for a casual meet, perhaps on one of the Sundays. Was thinking of a restaurant by the river called Waterworks. It is behind the Philadelphia museum. We can then do a quick drive around kelly/licoln drive and then head over to the Auto Show over at the exhibition hall close to Chinatown. Post if anyone is interested. I know on weekends things can get pretty crowded, however I am also aware that most of us have our own commitments on weekdays. The weather is not going to be warm, but it is going to be sunny (according to weather.com) from Jan 31st to Feb 3rd, temperature is mid to high 30s and reaching to 40s. Tallycoolies - would love to check out your new modifications, I see that you've gone all out with your intake/exhaust/ECU/aeroparts. Tamas - Would love to see you around again! Thanks for coming everyone! Made a very simple, amateur video below, enjoy: [u2b][/u2b] Best, Anderson Last edited by noxredna; 02-11-2009 at 06:21 PM.. |

I might be down for this depending if its on the 8th, since I have to drive over from NYC, I haven't taken the M out in a while and it needs to stretch its legs...
but if I'm driving to Philly I need to have a cheesestake (never had an actual Philly Cstk)

haha yea definitely, you have to stop by pat's and ginos - worth the 'experience' at least. I will definitely give you a heads up and work the dates around. I am often up in NYC as well... It's sad that there are so little meets up here in this area.

Monsta, if you'll be at the Auto Show Feb 7, let me know.

May I suggest somewhere other tan Waterworks? Kind of pricey for just lunch, much less dinner and the food isn't that great, rather over-priced. Not sure if it will fit the atmosphere you are looking for.
Just a suggestion. Cheers, e46e92

By the way, call your BMW salesman and ask if he/she has any free tickets for the auto show. I picked up two free tickets today.

Tally! Congrats on your car being in the autoshow! Can't wait to see your car, I am very excited for you! You've gone crazy with all your mods in the last two months. We definitely have to fire it up one day though to hear the AA X-Pipes and exhaust.
AwesomeM3 - Looks like everyone is down for Feb 7th, so we'll keep everyone posted on the exact date and plans. monsta - will you be able to make it for Feb 7th? Will definitely bring you down to cheesesteak, it's not too far away from the autoshow. e46e92love - Do you have any other suggestion? Thought about waterworks as they have a very large parking lot and has a nice scenery if some people want to take shots of their cars. Lincoln and Kelly drive is also nice if we can capture some of the cars on video. Nevertheless, there are many other places.. can you think of anything off the top of your head? makots - yo, will text you sometime this week! |

Hey Guys/Anderson!
I'd love to go, but unfortunately Sunday won't work for me since I'm hosting a xmas/superbowl party for my employees. Monday or Tuesday would work, but i'm sure that you pretty much have to work those days. I was planing to go on Monday afternoon/evening, let me know if any of you would like to meet up. Tamas |

Just to keep everyone updated on things;
My friend, Makots will be driving down from Boston this coming weekend. So this is probably going to be the plan: Sunday (Feb 8th) 11am - Light brunch/drinks at Waterworks (640 Water Works Drive, Phladelphia, PA 19130) 1.30 pm - Drive down together to Philly car show over at Philadelphia Convention Center. The reason why I picked water works is that they have a large parking area and it's got a really nice view of the river. The weather forecast for Sunday will also be around 55F so it'll be nice to chill around that area. For those who are sensitive and will not allow valet to touch your cars, there are a few self-parking area within a block or so of the convention center. If you need more info, drop me a text/call at 646-715-4677. Anderson |
