Sirius Receiver Part Number
I want to get sirius on my newly purchased e92 m3 as it didn't come with the sirius option.
I searched for the necessary parts that is required for the retrofit. I came up with different part numbers. Here they are: -The BMW dealer told me I need the 65129162994 part number receiver plus some other fans etc. -CircleBMW.com has the 65209142852 number for the receiver. -RealOEM.com has 01 SATELLITE- RADIO 1 03/2006 03/2008 65209142852 01 SATELLITE- RADIO 1 03/2006 09/2008 65129162994 01 SATELLITE- RADIO 1 03/2006 65129192273 AND I found the following receiver on ebay with a part number 65129142852. So my question if I buy the ebay one, would it work? If not, which part number is correct for 2008 E92 M3? Thanks. |

Lagos,
I just ordered one for my sedan from a BMW service center. They scanned my key to assure the car was prewired and to verify the parts needed. I believe the e90 and e92 use the same parts. The Sirius Radio part number is the one your BMW dealership indicated (65129162994), number for number. Funny, the correct part seems to elude the BMW parts people too. You will also need a Sirius Retrofit Kit 65-11-0-432-318 for proper installation. I was thinking about going the ebay/internet route, but considering the parts & labor it takes, I just decided to have BMW do it, and taking the guess work out of it. |

omegatlc, how much did your dealer quote you for the parts and the installation if you don't mind me asking?

Alex - seeing that you are a fellow Canuck - price was aprox. $1200 (taxes in) - parts, install including 1 year free service. A little steep, but worth it IMO. But I am impatient and was going in for service anyway. |

really? I didn't see the post here. you should've posted in the Canadian forum too. But would it have worked in a E92 08?
btw, when I posted this thread, the auction was still on. how much did you end up selling it for? |

DAMN IT!!! I would have been all over it for that price (assuming it would work in my E90). Anyone know where I can find one at that price?

That kind of commute would do it for me too. But I work from home so my commute consists of a 30 second walk downstairs to my office in the basement.
