But if you are wanting the most comfortable seats in the business then there is only one brand name that comes to mind and that is Volvo.
Hmm everyone has their likes and dislikes I guess. I personally did not like the audi seats but loved the m3 seats and loved the is-f seats even more. Never been in a volvo so I can't comment on volvo's but as far as great comfort the lexus was top notch.

I haven't been in a Volvo either but heard the same thing, their seats are super comfy.

But can you really take a Volvo seat (or any other car seat for that matter including the ones in the 535i/550i models) and transplant it into the M3?

It doesn't sound like it's gonna work.

Plus, the comfort seats are just a dream come true, especially for long drives

To be honest, when I have the money, my every day car will be a 550i and the //M will become the weekend car. 550i sport is a great car, but that sport package more than ever is so important, and makes such a difference (yes the 550i sport package is different then the one they offer on the 535i)
Exactly what I did.....alpine white w/sport and black interior (including the best seats I have ever sat in). Picked up yesterday.

Agreed 100%. I have a GTR, an M3 and returned my 550i. The 550i 6MT/sport pkg with the seats, torque and handling was just awesome. Throw in a consistant 22-23 mpg and it now ranks as the best car I've ever owned hands down. I'm leasing my M3, the moment it's up I'm going back to a 5 series.

These seats aren't that bad at all. For some of you that may have upgraded from a 535i or anything else that has really comfortable seats, then yes these seats may be a bit uncomfortble or perhaps overly supportive. But for people like me that upgraded from a 1996 318ti, these seats are great.

Cheers!
