had some time last night after work so decided to install the ap brakes.

These things are absolutely gorgeous!!

Waiting on pads still, going with the PFC 331/332 combo and can't wait to see how these feel on track.

Quality compared to the ST is crazy.

small update:

AP 9668 fronts are on with PFC 331 and rear oem calipers w/ 332 pads.

Bled the whole system with ISTA yesterday and SRF fluid and the brakes feel amazing!

Also had the opportunity to get the end plates of the GT4 wing painted.. I'm super happy with how the car looks..

Only thing I need to do next is some drivetrain items.. 3.62 gears, solid subframe bushings, CF driveshaft and then the DO88 DCT cooler and Fall-Line DCT pan. This will all happen over the next several months hopefully!

Any rubbing of the front liners on this E88 setup? My 18x10 et12 on a 265/35 scrubs quite a bit but your liners look spotless haha

I have an itch for a porsche, and I'd like to scratch it haha I know I'll regret selling this but I really want to experience the P car ownership.. a 991 GT3 or GT4 really had my attention.

honestly, definitely a reasonable next step... your build as it is is beautiful though and provides a fair amount of inspo for where I think I'm headed. if you do end up with a GT car I'd love to hear a comparison against a reasonably track-modded E92!

you'll be back! I had a GT4 and then a 991.2 3RS. I think some of the 991 GT3's have come back down to earth in price. honestly, I would say that the GT4 is 90% of the experience of the GT3 at a significant discount. the only thing missing is the engine, but it's plenty fast for the street and the manual is the best I've ever driven.

love your e92 build - I hope you don't sell it for your own sake.

Just wnated to update this thread.. I've had a few decent offers, but nothing that made me want to unload the car. I felt i could always part the car out and make more than the offers presented and I'm just not ready to stop enjoying it.

Here's some photos from FCP Euro's BMW event at LimeRock Park.

I felt the same way and it is worth the experience moving on but I would skip the GT4 and go straight for the GT3, as it is significantly more exciting mainly due to the motor but it rotates better as well. The gt3's have more mid range torque compared to the GT4, and way way way better top end sound, and power. Plus Rear wheel steering on the GT3 is something you can feel, even on the street. The whole rear of the car feels like its moving around you. Wider wheels, rear wheel steering, way more power, you'll see if you spend some time with both..

I owned a 718 GT4 now a GT3 and the GT3 is worth the price of admission.

However why not both a GT car and E9x? haha.

I am getting back into an E9X M soon but its not replacing the GT3, but living with it.

I remember you saying you didn't like the regular 911 you had.. Which GT3 do you have now?

I could just wait and have both.. With current situations, (2 kids in daycare full time) I need the funds from the e92 to help with the GT3 if I want it now... I may just wait, I'm not really in a rush as I do enjoy this car quite a bit.

I had a 2011 c4s that was very underwhelming that you’re probably recalling 3-4 years ago. I then got a gt4 which was very good but fortunately was able to upgrade to the GT3 just recently. It’s a 2018.

Definitely wait I’m still pissed I sold the IB E90 M as when I find my next one it’ll just be my daily driver
