Nut dropped in rear suspension section(pic included)
Hello,
I dropped small nut in rear suspension. Anyone know how to reach there? Thank you. Last edited by gonoyaro11; 11-22-2014 at 10:50 PM.. |

Take out the insulation and use a telescoping magnet. I always have one of those laying around for these situations. Should be able to grab it with one of those

Hi reviving this thread. What is behind the insulation? Are there more openings to retrieve whatever fell in? Just curious as I believe I may have a nut or two rattling around in there.

Had to fish out a few nuts in that crevice before. Not really any easy way to get them out. Takes some patience and a flexible magnet to get them out.

There is also a rubber grommet inside the fender that could possible help with lifting the nut up. I dropped my shock nut there and took me 3 hours to get back..

Happened to me today on my e87, spent ages with the flex magnet getting nowhere, put a screwdriver or something through the grommet mentioned above and managed to move the nut, then was able to grab it with the magnet after a few tries
