14 years E90 M3 has 'ji ji ji' noise when slow speed bump
I have bought a silverstone E90 M3 in good condition, drives fantastic.
I just have one issue: when drive over a speed bump, the four corners of the car makes 'ji ji ji' noise, and maybe the moonroof too. Is there a way to fix this problem? I know this is a 14 years old car, but I really like how it looks and drives, want to make it a masterpiece to have in a long time. Last edited by gugotim; 04-16-2024 at 02:52 AM.. Sheesh, such a timeless beauty. Aging like fine wine at fourteen years.
Do you have a video demonstrating this? That would be helpful. Are you running an aftermarket suspension? |

wd40 will make it even worse. that should not be used on rubber seals, it will eat the seals.

Pretty vague intro to an issue dude. Seems like you’ve tried nothing to this point. Anyways I’d ask for help from a buddy and take drive with’em. They could feel for vibration/noises while you produce them recreating the problems. Have’em sit in the back seat and passenger front to snoop around. Or have them drive while you snoop around.

This is the stuff they use in classic vintage cars and it makes the seals look like brand new again at the auctions lol...

Thanks everyone , WD40 silicone for seals can solve this problem.
And like GORDON.M3 said, the spray is hard to control, it will spray to window and paint of the car, so I will try grease next time. Here are some sexy photos to enjoy |
