You bet! Here are some shots of ThicWhip's M3 he sent over a few weeks ago:

I am going to buy a set of VS-5RS, Clear.

18x9.5 and 18x10.5 they were selling for $635 and $675

Why did you raised prices to $709 and $729 days before black fridays?

We did adjust prices on November 10th. I understand that it might be frustrating to see specific wheels that you were considering get more expensive, but the shift was part of a larger pricing shift across our forged wheels to correct some inconsistencies within our forged pricing lineup as well as adjust for rising costs.

The specific fitments you were looking at (I assume 18x9.5 ET22 and 10.5 ET22 for the offsets in brushed clear ) went from $689 to $709 per wheel for the fronts and $709 to $729 for the rear wheels. Brushed clear has always been more expensive than the other finishes, but even if you were looking at another color before the price change, your initial figures don't match the prices that were listed prior to the change. Select 5x120 BMW SM-10RS SKUs saw a drop in price in the update and other markets in our lineup also saw price decreases.

As economic conditions continue to inflate, pricing is often forced to go with it. However, only a fraction of our wheel catalog was affected by recent pricing changes, in fact more markets experienced a price reduction than a price increase which means that many enthusiasts will actually benefit from the changes made. Additionally, pricing on approximately 40% of our forged catalog stayed exactly the same. There are many contributing factors that go into these decisions, but I can say with confidence that our Production and Engineering teams work very hard to find efficiencies that maintain our quality standards and pursuit of true performance, and that has really helped offset rising costs within the industry.

We don't manipulate our wheel pricing based on short term sales or promotions, and the extremely stable pricing that our customers have enjoyed over the last 16 years is a testament to that. Just as we perform deep analysis within our wheel development program to optimize our products, we put the same amount of energy into analyzing development and production/manufacturing costs etc. to ensure the business stays healthy. We're absorbing this information in real time, and implementing changes with a long term plan/strategy in mind.

Black Friday represents a small period in time - a small fraction of the year. We've got some meaningful discounts queued up for the upcoming sale which will result in significant savings for our customers to enjoy - even in the few markets where a small price increase was implemented like this one.

We hope you find this information helpful. Keep an eye out for our Black Friday sale launching on Monday!

this was a technical issue but should have been resolved a few hours after the sale went live. The shipping should be working correctly now, but email us at support@apexwheels.com if you have any addition problems.

Enduro Line Launch & Technical Feature Video

Introducing the all new Apex Forged Enduro Line. Designed to withstand the combined stresses of extra sticky tires, crazy downforce, fast drivers, and inevitable mistakes. Available in two designs at launch. The VS-5RE and SM-10RE are strength optimized versions of our popular lightweight designs. Priced similarly to our Sprint line wheels, every enthusiast can choose which version is best for their needs.

Part of our commitment to Real Performance, these are our strongest and most durable wheels, with dramatically higher load ratings, stiffer spokes, and tougher lips than ever before.
There’s a constant industry push for lighter wheels, but if saving weight is the top priority then strength and stiffness can be compromised. We see it often in the pursuit of lower advertised weights, and many cars end up ill-equipped as a result. The reality is that all enthusiasts could benefit from stronger and stiffer wheels, while some critically require it.

Visit our website to place your pre-order now, wheels are set to arrive beginning in May. 25% deposit required to reserve a set.

Link to Pre-Order

➡︎ 10K ton forged 6061-T6 aluminum

➡︎ Heavy-duty Enduro Spec inner lip

➡︎ Stiffer side-milled spokes and lip pocketing

➡︎ Stronger 2100 lb. load rating

➡︎ Capless hub design to reduce weight

➡︎ Paintless barrel & knurled beads

➡︎ Independently tested and certified

VS-5RE

The VS-5RE is the forged Enduro version of our popular VS-5 design. These wheels bring serious strength and durability to the split 5 spoke design that BMW enthusiasts love and gives endurance racers and hardcore HDPE participants a wheel that focuses on longevity and consistency.

Some of you may have already seen the reveal of this project on our instagram, but we wanted to reach out to the BMW community on the forums as well to collect feedback about the development of a new wheel design.

Project ML-10 Background:

After Josh, one of our Senior Product Engineers installed a widebody kit on his race car project, he had to design a custom set of wheels to fit his extreme application. Originally a one off project, when he showed the team what he created, we were floored. And our community was too when we shared a picture on Instagram and Facebook.

We’ve made it an official project, but to make this wheel a reality, we need you to decide on some of the details by taking our survey.

Yeaaahhhh...those new ML-10s look FIRE. I think that light gold w/ polished lip would pair nicely with Jerez.....

May consider a set in the popular e90 m3 fitment. 18x10 in ...I think et25?

Yep, ET25! a great option for the E9X M3s. Be sure to hop into the survey if you haven't already as we'll still need feedback on the colors & more.

If these ML-10s make it to production, do you think pricing would be similar to the other flow formed wheels?

And yes I did the survey.

I've already filled out the survey, but I would LOVE to see a more aggressive 18x10 e9x fitment. Something like +20 so I can run them with KW clubsports without need for 10mm+ spacers (I've tried four different tires and +25 requires higher than 5mm spacer, despite what the Apex website states).

Sounds like those coilovers are limiting inner clearance more than what we typically see. I assume the tire size is 275/35-18? or are you running 285s?

A Classic Returns.

Our Forged ARC-8s are back and better than ever. As part of our new Touring Line, these wheels bring Real Performance to a classic design in the fitments you love. Strength and Stiffness were prioritized in this revamp of our Forged ARC-8 and new forged features from our Sprint line were incorporated including the Sprint Line inner lip which offers more protection where it’s needed most.

Yes, the KW CS has a lower perch than some other setups unless you run a shorty spring. I've found my car operates best with a rather neutral height/stance, so my setup is not slammed (photo below for ride-height reference). I know four other people running CS on their E9X cars and none of them can fit 18x10 +25 with a 5mm spacer. All of us are running 275 200TW tires (though not all same model, so shoulders vary slightly). I recognize my RE71RS tires have a broader shoulder than some others.

Regardless of my coilover setup, at +25 I still have a lot of tucking from the top of tire due to aggressive track fitment. The below reference photo is with Apex's 12mm spacer. I'd still like to achieve closer to the below fitment without putting additional stress on my hubs like I currently am. As of now, my only solution is to have 3-piece wheels that are custom built, and I don't want to spend that kind of money for a wheel that will require maintenance from near-dedicated track use.

FWIW I also have a 5mm spacer on the rear and there is additional room for that wheel to come outward (both on my previous -1.6 degree setup and current -2.7 degree setup).

Deeper Concavity: A High Profile Change

Back when we launched our first ever Forged ARC-8R wheel, we set out to make a wheel that could do it all. The old Forged ARC-8R featured an 1800 lb load rating, which made it a bit heavy. It also had great brake caliper clearance, because its spokes were less concave than the Flow Formed version of the wheel. The result was a lot of compromise, and it didn’t excel in any specific area.

Fast forward to today. With the recent addition of the Enduro Line, a Forged ARC-8 would no longer need to sport a high load rating. To save weight, we brought the load rating down to match the specs of the Sprint Line family. Because Sprint line wheels already offer exceptional brake clearance for most every caliper, we could let the ARC-8RT’s spokes go as aggressively concave as possible, only giving up clearance for a few race calipers that our other wheels can clear.

With less constraint related to clearing the largest brake kits, more concavity is possible with these new ARC-8RTs. The 19x11 ET44 on the rear of this F87 M2 is a perfect example of a profile 4 ARC-8RT, the most concave ARC-8s we’ve ever produced.

Three distinct forged families allow these wheels to exist with less compromise and more of the features that fans of the ARC-8 love.
