Added some dots of sealant (in addition to the bead that comes on the trim already) and pressed into place and held pressure for 5-10 minutes. It's been two months and so far so good.

Yep that's the stuff I used!
Cutting out the factory goop and using extra 3M sealant are they key. I took so long with a razor. I wonder if one of those loop tools for pottery would work, although it's probably not sharp enough. Do you know the tool I am talking about? I think it's called a ribbon tool
