Replace panel w/ start/stop and sunshade switches

I recently deleted my car's rear sunshade and never use the auto start/stop feature. As such, I have zero need for that control panel with those two switches and would thus like to delete that panel to clean the interior up a bit.

I cannot for the life of me find the part number for the clean panel in that spot. Can anyone help a brother out? I am referring to the panel seen just above the little cubby above the DCT shifter in the photo below (although, unlike the panel in that pic, my seat heater switches are in the A/C unit; that panel is where the sunshade and auto start/stop switches are):

Thanks. My fear is that that is just the trim piece that surrounds the strip of buttons as shown here:



If so, that would leave me back at square one. I guess I'm hoping there is a piece that deletes that entire strip of buttons (basically the above piece but without the lower of the two cutouts). Failing that, I would settle for a strip of buttons without any buttons designated.

The panel containing the buttons contains blank button faces. It's modular so if you had the kit, you simply pull off the seat heater faces and put on the corresponding blanks in their place.

I have the kit but I'm planning on using it for another project to stealth up some of my add-ons

Bumping this up, did you ever swap the trim piece? I only have auto start/stop there and would like to remove the row of blanks for a plain trim piece, but not sure if it’s that simple or if the auto start/stop will spaz out when disconnected.

There's space in there, you can just leave the button row hanging. I don't think it likes being disconnected but I don't remember. It might default to start/stop on when disconnected.

^ Ah, interesting idea. Though knowing it's not "tidy" behind the panel may trigger my OCD. Easy swap, I imagine?

Default auto start/stop to ON would be hellacious!

Very easy, I lifted the transmission leather panel then just pried it off. Might not even be that complicated but it runs the lowest risk of scratching any soft-touch plastic.

Could use some gaffer’s tape to stick it down without leaving any adhesive residue.

quick bump on this - was this ever resolved? I also only have 1 button (2011.5 with auto start stop) and would like to replace with a clean no button panel piece as my trim is starting to peel slightly as well.

Wondering if there's enough room behind the panel to keep the button hanging or what the workaround fix is here- TIA!

You just need the trim piece pictured above (assuming the picture matches that part #) that doesn't have the cutout for the buttons.

I replaced mine a few years ago as it was all nicked up from the original owner. I seem to recall there being plenty of room behind there if you want to hide that start/stop button.

perfect thanks so much for the reply! did you leave the buttons unplugged (prob easier / ideal for me) or did you have to take off the strip of buttons from the original trim and hide it back there? Wondering what the process is like.
