Heated Seat retrofit question

Having trouble finding some info on this..

Pre lci car - originally power/memory NON heated seats

Swapped in MANUAL HEATED seats. Coded $494 VO and wrote to ihk/jbbf modules.

Heated seat lights up and turns off after 3 seconds.

From my research, all cars are pre wired for heated seats. On the seat side, I have an unused plug in with two wires that is yellow and brown. There’s no plug on the car side.

As far as I understand, the main seat module (big yellow plug) is responsible for dealing with heat, etc and as long as car is coded for heated seats everything should work.

Am I missing anything here? What gives?
