Uneven running at constant 2k revs - TAs or engine mounts?
My 45k miles car is displaying some uneven running, at constant speeds/light throttle, in the 2000 to 2200 rev range.
It is more noticeable in the warm-up period, but still there once fully warm. The plugs and coils are all almost new (plugs less than 500 miles, coils less than 3000 miles) so there should be no issues there. The engine pulls really hard under full throttle, all the way to 8400 so is very strong overall and I am not aware of any uneven running apart from the 2-2.2k range. So I am wondering whether there is a problem with: - throttle actuators - they are the originals, but my car is manual, so I think they have an easier life than with DCT - engine mounts - I know they have a reputation for falling apart, and at 10 years old I would not be surprised if they are well past their best. They are very difficult to examine without dropping the under-tray. Anyone else experienced this symptom, and identified the problem? Thanks in advance!
