Normally don't like too high of mile cars, but grabbed a 2009 E90 M3 with 116k on it.
Getting my lists together on what I need to knock out leading up to spring. |

09 e90 bought with 107k almost 4 years ago had rod bearings changed 3 days later as preventive maintenance, bank 1 actuator went out last week I am at almost 144k no other major maintenance needed, besides a battery and alternator. I change the oil once a year/10k.
I get random electrical gremlins like my adaptive headlights will get stuck but they reset everytime i restart the car but all in all shes reliable af. *dont mind my christmas tree that was when the actuator killed itself* |

I had some seepage from the o-rings on the back of the thermostat housing. The mechanic noted that my fan blades were starting to crack. I replaced the fan myself. Not bad in terms of time but there was added time to address some issues with some threaded inserts on my air box. Mileage is close to 187k miles now.

Just sold my 2010 E92 at almost 99K. Bought it at 81K.
During my ownership, I replaced the rod bearings, transmission, driveshaft, thermostat, heater core, front & rear rotors/pads, idler & crankshaft pulleys/belts & battery LOL |

Whoa. Definitely time to sell it. Diff, radiator or head gasket were about to go. Buy high sell low.

Sounds like whoever bought it gotta a good car with most of the major maintenance done, sans Valve Covers and T.A.s. One man's loss is another man's gain.

Not exactly high high miles but at 147k currently, bought it with 130k 2yrs ago. PO did rod bearings and TA (BE bearings/bolts, rebuilt TAs). Unfortunately the alternator went bad on me a week after owning the car. Then did an upgraded oil cooler and oil diverter valve for track use.
Got Core4 M14 F/R hubs and all new wheel bearings, wrinkle black OE valve covers, Slon vanos covers, water pump, thermostat and o rings, oil filter housing gasket, hood/trunk shocks, all shifter bushings, belts, tensioners, aluminum driveshaft since my old one completely destroyed the u-joints, and a complete rear subframe overhaul with metal sf and delrin diff bushings. Bunch of other miscellaneous parts for track use. |
