Congrats! Your car you do you. No judgement here I’m just a little confused.
So you have a higher mileage e92 m3 and you want to swap the mods to the newer low mileage one? Would love to see the content! |

The colors are NOT pretty different, this is from someone who had an IB E90 and has a Lemans now. IB is darker with more purple but the colors are very similar to one another in the sun and shade.

I'm genuinely curious why you would pay a huge premium for an original, ultra low mileage car if you plan to modify and drive it? I completely get the desire to own and preserve original time capsules. I also get the desire to modify and drive cars. I'm just not sure I understand when these conflicting objectives intersect. I suppose if money is irrelevant then why not always buy the best. Is that the case here?

The first 10k miles driven in this car will cost Matt $5 per mile. I just don't get it, unless money is simply no object, in which case I do get it. Again, not critiquing the purchase or the buyer in any way, just trying to understand rationale. |

No one ever said he can't do what he wants, nor did I criticize his decision. As a fellow enthusiast, I just wanted to understand Matt's rationale and get his perspective. |

Modding this perfect spec 800 mile unicorn versus modding a 20k mile equivelant makes absolutely zero financial sense...... UNLESS the money is completely inconsequential....which apparently it is in this case.....which is perfectly fine. God Bless the OP. I'm jealous. |

As a customer and fan of OG and an admirer of what Matt has build chasing his dream, I get it.
One thing to consider is value added to this car- being owned and built in a very organized, thoughtful, no expense spared, and highly documented manner. Now if I can only win the pending e92 giveaway . . .

It's a business expense for him. Look at the content he plans to create with it.

Has the car had its 1200 mile service or any service yet?
Porsche does mileage and time based services so it would have gone through 7 oil changes already...or about one oil change for each hundred miles driven.

Laughing at the money is inconsequential comments. Nobody buys an E92M if money is inconsequential.
Going to be an awesome build! Why the Brembo CCM and not something even more racey?

Why's that? He has a GT4, GT4 RS on order, GT3 RS, Tesla, among other switch and go cars. Sure he doesn't have a 50M car collection, but spending 80, 100, or 120k on the M3 hardly has any relevance.
