Just had a set mounted at Intrack Tire. I was expecting much better tire machines for a shop that specializes in wheels. Paid $25 cash per tire for mount and balance. Not too bad. They flip the wheels face down and have a towel to protect the wheel.

Anyone know of a shop on Long Island that could perform the OEM Exhaust Mod from start to finish? Most places can obviously swap the existing with an already modified one, but wouldn't be able to open up and modify the stock exhaust on my M. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

For tires and wheels I use MTech, a Porsche indy in New Rochelle. No scratches, they do a good job. Isn't cheap though, around $35-40 a tire with tax

Ok, I found the shop in Western New York. Originally, I had thought that Black Forest Motorsport was the right shop for the M3 and X5. they did do some good work on the X5, but indicated they were limited in their expertise to do mods and real upgrades, and couldn't, for example, address the X5 alignment after they installed springs. That all said, the place in Buffalo to go is Autopia/ Artisan Autoworks. A spectacular attention to detail, they know the E9x M3 well, handled mods easily and were exactly what I was looking for. No dyno (that I saw) and suspect that is the one drawback. A good find.

I am looking to do preemptive maintenance and get the rod bearings/throttle actuators replaced in my car. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop near Manhattan?
