Unfortunally, yes Seems what is not very good quality of this grilles, does not resist M3 heat
I have a little bubbles at bottom of grilles and little fade of gloss at top...

Same with me. The bad news is that it will get progressively worse...i made the decision to switch to matte black. I believe its a hit or miss, some people's grilles are fine while others might get the bubbles.

I'll wait a little to see if it will be get more bubbles, and if yes, matte black

Yea, give it a little more time, my second set of CF grilles werent as bad as the first, they still developed bumps but they did not get progressivly worse as my first set. However i believe I should get the best product for my money and I wont settle for anything less.

That sucks to hear! The hit or miss part pretty much sealed the deal for me so I got the matte black as well. Should be here any day now.

On the bubbling: Bet you won't see the roof on the car bubble (not the Joint Strike Fighter...). The problem is simple. CF material selection and processing is an art and science and there are too many jokers out there building garbage. |

Well, I've got CF grilles in hand and plan to install very soon. If they become visually suspect I'll go matte black.

Just keep a eye on it, if bubbles and bumps do appear they will appear very fast. Mine started to have bumps/bubbles within days.

that totally blows. i think CF grilles look great on the M3 too. i don't like the matte black as much. the visual impact is less, but i guess i will go with that option. i won't settle for bubbled CF or ugly-ass chrome.

CF definitely FTW, but i wouldn't hesitate to try it. Or perhaps you can try painted grilles...they can chip but look better than matte black and chrome.

Its a bummer the CF grills are bubbling...that sucks since I really want them...but maybe the matt black plastic is a better option.....hmm maybe I'll stop by my local body shop and see if they can paint them with a heat resistant paint in black....or maybe Melbourne red to match the car?

I don't think that you want red grilles. For what it's worth I think the grilles should be something other than the cars paint color. Just my opinion, but if the CF doesn't work out for me (bubbling) I'm gonna go with matte black. |
