I actually initially made the calls prior to Covid, but ended up giving up.

Now decided to try to revisit the issue, called a few more shops and got the same answer.

I highly doubt they don’t have some type of high end ceramic tint, almost impossible to be honest. Every shop has a high grade tint of some sort.

I specifically wanted the Air Blue 80, otherwise maybe 90% ceramic tint. Good call, I'll do more research and ask around.

He's looking for Air Blue 80 specifically.

SilverSlug, I would suggest opening your search to include DYNOshield products. As a happy customer of Lumar CTX 80% on the windshields of our Raptor and (previous) F80, I intended to duplicate for our X5. Then I discovered the STEK tints at a summer car show in Redmond WA. While my 45% is too dark for most, their 70% might be right up your alley.

The clarity of the Smart Series film is a noticeable improvement over the CTX 70%.

Tinting the shield is awesome . I not only own a window tint and ppf shop I also use the products myself on all my cars. I have Xpel Xr Plus on the windshield and it's amazing. Just have a dash towel and soak shield rope and you are good to go my man
