MLT BBK Bracket
Hey everyone! I normally don’t do write ups like this, but I haven’t seen one on this product (apologies if I missed it) so I figured it deserved some attention. I recently finished doing a front BBK conversion using brackets from MLT Engineering (the same company I got my aluminum undertray from). It is kind of crazy how well these brackets fit and are basically plug and play with new calipers (aside from some minor heat shield trimming which you have to do whenever installing a BBK). The cool thing is, these were designed to fit on the stock 360mm rotors, so you really only need to source the calipers, and it is one of the most inexpensive BBK conversion kits I could find. While things were apart, I did decide to upgrade a few other things however -SS lines, 380mm rotors because mine were almost in need of changing so I figured it would be a good time, powder coating the calipers, etc.
But all in all, if I wouldn’t have upgraded the other things and just went for the brackets and calipers, this would have easily been a 1 afternoon project. The fitment was 10/10. Quality was superb, honestly seems stronger than the stock brackets. And the communication with MLT was super quick and Winston was over the top helpful making sure I had everything I needed for this. Can’t wait for them to finish up rear brackets because my stock ones look so small compared now! Performance wise, I knew they were going to better than the stocks, but I wasn’t really ready for how much better they were going to be. I never thought the stocks were bad necessarily, but after driving on these for about 2 weeks now, I don’t think I could ever go back. If I got another E9x, this 100% would be the first thing I did. They are very responsive, but not in an overly touch/ jerky way. As far as the necessary parts go, this is all it ended up costing me: Brackets - $385 Calipers from a 2009 C63 AMG - $796 Highly recommend this product and here is their contact info if you wanted to reach out to them! https://mltengineering-design.com/pr...for-bmw-e9x-m3 Instagram - @mlt_engineering_design

Thanks for sharing. Great to know this option exists.
How do the calipers perform and what do they weigh?

And performance is great! I haven't put them through crazy track or canyon tests yet, but just in the day to day (with some spirited in there) you can tell a major difference vs stock.

Stocks for now- they are working on a bracket for the rear set. But for the time being I had them powder coated to match and did SS lines on those, as well.

Yup, fits no problem! This is our family cruising on the weekend car, so I didn't need anything crazy and just went with these rotors.
