The plugs only connect one way. There is no cutting or splicing required.. Everything included is OEM fit. You shouldn't have any error codes. My guess is your custom wire work triggered that. No offense, but you probably should have researched this before going all rogue, or just paid somebody to do it. This is an expensive kit to be tinkering around on. Hope your hardware install went a bit more smoothly. |

Mine were the same as your photo for the front. The problem I had was in the rear. I thought the connector should plug into the wire that comes out of the top of the shock. I couldn't find the plugs where it was supposed to go because mine were in behind the fixed seat cushion in the corner.
I've since worked it out so I just need to get the error coded out. I'm very happy with the result though. |

I did pay my mechanic to do it, but you are correct, I should have researched it myself. However, I have since found a photo showing the connector going in the opposite direction to mine so this added to my confusion. Hopefully all will be OK once I get the error coded out. Hardware fit went without any problems. Last edited by ABC99G; 10-04-2020 at 04:15 AM.. |

Did these come with bump stops? If not, what are you using, if any?
- Also, what rear shock mounts did you decide to go with? I'll be getting mine installed in a few weeks. Collecting some complimentary suspension components right now. Turner shows them in stock for any one looking to grab a set.

Not a bad price, but they're still backordered by 3 months or so right? I guess it goes "good fast cheap pick two"

Hi, im in the middle of my install and just need a little clarification as to why there were 2 19mm nuts provided for the rear bilstein shocks. Can someone tell me if we use these 2 nuts instead of the 22mm oem?

Read the instruction and follow the diagram. Tells you right there to use the 2 19mm instead of the 1 22mm.

Maybe I got a different diagram, unless the one nut, labeled ‘B’ for bilstein provided equals 2 19mm nut. Thank you though for clarifying, maybe I’m looking into it too much.

Use 2 of the 19mm nuts. It's to prevent it from backing off. The oem nut is the wrong size for the Bilstein shock shaft. Which pigtail did they include in your kit? The old style or the new style? |

Bilstein is just absolutely horrible with how they put kits together. Its always the mix and match parts. They throw in whatever they have left in the parts bin when they run out of parts. I wouldnt be very happy getting the old connectors for the front. Makes for a messy looking install.

The instructions cover both B16 PSS10 and B16 Damptronic. You're looking at the wrong diagram. Each page has it labelled up top right whether its "B16" or "Damptronic."

Oh man... even the ones they sent me were all over the place and out of order. Thankfully I hunted down that PDF well in advance of my install and didn't use the printed ones.

Looking over your link with the instructions, was there a reason why you didnt re-use the spring pad? Did GC tell you not too?

It does not fit with the GC plate design and is unnecessary.

I just installed B16 coilovers with Ground Control street camber plates like yours. I am also at 1.5 threads front and 9 rear. However, my car seems to sit way higher that yours both front and rear. What tire size are you running? I have 265/35r18 on 18x10 +25 EC7s. Are you running something that fills in the fenders more? The only thing I can think of is that I kept the rubber spring pad (it fit into the GC plates no problem) but that cant be more than 1/8" thick or so. Even still, that doesn't explain the rear also being way higher. Pic for comparison - Just installed last night and aligned this morning. |

That doesn't seem right at all, the spring pad can definitely add a couple millimeters to your stack height though. Exactly which plates do you have? I believe there's a different type of lower profile bushing that you can use up top that reduces the stack height. I would speak to ground control and see what two different bushing options they have for OEM type upper mount setups. I can't recall if I kept my lower spring pads in the rear. I'll check once the car is out of storage.
My BBS LM setup runs the exact same rolling diameter as stock so my height suggestions should be the same for any car keeping to the stock rolling diameter. Your 265/35/18 is a big factor. That tire and wheel setup is almost an inch shorter in overall diameter, thus you have an arch gap increase of 5.7mm front and 12.7mm rear. The spring pad plus this would definitely explain your ride height differences vs. mine.

I have these plates: https://groundcontrolstore.com/colle...t-camber-plate Maybe the best move is to switch out the GC front plates for the shorter version, which will drop the front a bit. Then I can adjust the rear lower since it still has about 9 threads to go. Realistically I'll probably leave it as-is for now, but at least I have a better idea as to why it looks so much different than yours. |
