Man reading this takes me back...imagine living in a time when S85/S65 were new and e46, e39, and z4m were a plenty. With 10 years hindsight, get your hands on any and all good condition NA M cars and never let go....they will never make cars like these again

Just read through the entire thread. Funny how wrong some people were about pricing!
Lucky to own Z4MC, Z3MC, E36M, E46M, E93M, and E39M. Never letting go of any of these. |

I have an E39 M5 and E92 M3. Love them both to death, but I’d love to add a Z4MC in the future. How would your one compares to the others?

Z3M, Z4M - both were on the list when I was on the hunt and then settled for the E92.
Couldn't fit properly in either one of them back at that time, but now lost a quarter of my weight (&size) - so desperately looking for a 3.0Si Z4C now... Z3C is a tad too old - same was with the E39 M5 (I adore the E39 Plattform), so Z4 is a sweet spot. I was hoping the prices would fall further during Covid than they did, so eventually dumping that money into the restomod of my Mk2 GTI now. LOL BTT: in terms of long term appreciation, Z4MC and 1M are still better than the standard M3s imho. Not talking GT/EVO, CSL or GTS/CRT/LimeRock/DTM-edition or therelikes. Like gkgsvensson said earlier in this thread: any M car that you were able to buy, store and maintain cheap enough would have been worth it |

E39M5 and E39M3 are very similar cars in more ways than one. Z4M is completely different, in everything but the brand that made these. |

That’s interesting you say that, I have never been in a Z of any type so I have no point of reference. I am looking for a hardcore sports car to complement my e92/e39, light and visceral. Everything I’ve read about Z4M says it’s like that, plus it’s got the famed S54

Was looking for an E46 M3, wanted to have a slicktop manual. Found a Z4M Coupe instead, much cheaper than any decent E46 M3. My wife occupied it instantly. Must say the Z3 2.8l Coupe of my daughter is much more comfortable than the Z4. We also own an e36M3 and an e90 M3, im comparison to the Z4M these are totally different vehicles and of course much better for daily use (and less demanding to drive). At least the Z4M has the advantage to prevent power shopping because of the trunk size ...
