Nice review. I also like the fact that you're a previous 335 owner, and offer insight on both experiences.

i havent really used the M settings too much during the first 1000 miles. after getting done with the 1000 i turned that thing on. OMG day and night difference. i cant believe i been struggling with rev-matching before. this car is like 10x easier to drive now. super sensitive throttle FTW!!!

basically you cant activate the super sensitive throttle unless you hit the M button. i was told not to use it during break-in, so i didnt. if you read the thread earlier i had comments indicating having trouble perfectly rev-matching and such. after the first 1000 i got used to rev matching.

last night i met up with OC Kid and he encouraged me to use the M button, so i did. now blipping the gas to get the right rev-match is very easy. throttle is just very responsive which results in much smoother shifts up and down.

the car is much less jerkier when you shift in to first and from first to second

I see now why the difference in gas prices. Look at this. Tells you how much tax you're paying on each gallon. CA is the highest. Big surprise there. As big as CA is, I wonder what they are doing with all that money.

So ///Mantis,

When you say "super sensitive" throttle, is that sport-plus you are talking about? And did you try regular sport setting by using the sport button on the console?

Sorry, that would be the "POWER" button down by the shift knob. Sport mode is enabled by pressing this button. It does not really make more power like in the M5. Sport-plus however, can only be enabled via the MDrive button on the steering wheel by setting it with the iDrive menus.

yah i tried that button. it does make the throttle more responsive and gives that slight push forward when you activate it.

so to clarify: the power button = sport, and you can only activate the sport-plus thru the M button if you program it that way via iDrive. correct?

because i like to have that sport-plus throttle without activating the M. because my M is set for stiffest EDC and MDM... i dont like driving always with stiff EDC

well, i'm in decision mode right now. i have some time to decide though...looks like i'll be going for it. which means i'll just drop another 1900 on m audio. i am not so big about the i-drive interface. not that it is complex or difficult to use, but i just never really liked it and had a lot of lag issues. but that is another discussion for another thread!

I love it, but i have to say it's not a must. like u wont be getting a lesser M3 if u didnt have it. but then music isnt all my world revolves around like i could give a rats ass sometimes.

this is how i prioritize my options
ZTP - cant ditch (i love every part of it, and navi to me is a must coz i get lost all the time lol)
M audio - if i have the money i'll spend it no question
PDC
heated seats
premium (i'd opt for CF leather if i ditch premium)
