I just spoke with Mike! Wonderful guy...I will be partaking in this group-buy as an early birthday gift to myself.

I'm going to order it on either Sunday or Monday (likely Sunday due to my Visa cutoff date)...confirmed with Mike that he's ok with this.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

FYI as we have dealt with thousands of cars in Canada over the last ten years - In our experience, the "94 octane" that is available there is equivalent to 91 or 92 octane in the United States.

Setting this aside, we retain all of the factory protection mechanisms (and actually increase a number of them to be more protective than stock), so putting in 87 octane, although not advisable, will not cause any adverse affects. If you are forced to full up with something like 87 octane, avoid full throttle or leave throttle fluctuations if possible - although technically you could track the car without any severe issues.

As a side note.. there is an F10 M5 that is Stage II tuned by us for a number of years now... it is the vehicle on the right in the following video:

About two or so years ago, this car was sold, and the new owner has rented this car out on Turo for a couple years, on 87 octane, and somehow this car is still running strong with nearly 800HP. We obviously don't recommend this, and it's certainly asking for trouble, but there is a reason why we err on the side of safety in our programming.

Last, @BPMSport, interesting point about the 94octane vs 91/92octane in the states. I can verify that is true. At least between the gas in Vancouver and Seattle. I do track my car in Seattle a few times a year. They only have 92octane gas. What would your recommendation be if I get your tune?

With my other car, the shop who did the tuning gave me two files. One for local 94octane and one for 92 when I take that car to the States. Which is why I know there isn’t much difference between our 94 and 92 in the states. But my shop told me I’m still better off switching the files when I cross the border with that car.

You basically don't save on shipping in comparison if you were joining in Toronto.

I would recommend getting a lower octane as Mike mentioned. if you fill 94 here then get the 91 or 93 octane on the BPMSport.
