From the graphs can't tell if it's a meaningful improvement in low end torque? The G1 is mostly just a weight reduction to 9.5 pounds? Anyone know the VT2 weight?

I grabbed the first dyno image result to compare to the 625 kit with the older setup :

I don’t think so, it runs 6.5-7.5 psi depending on octane and this is the intercooled setup so I think this replaces the 625-650 kits. No wonder they waited so long to roll it out, doesn’t look to be any appreciable gains over the Vortech head units, just a slight weight reduction.

Well its a big change. The G1 is smaller and lighter. Also the G2 and G3 were previously rumored to have much higher whp output with new engine internals. They literally just put their new design on the market for the E9X platform. There are some Corvette ppl who have ran the g3 at high boost with good results. It seems to be smaller, more like a rotrex c38. I am currently running the VT2 595. It runs great for me thus far. In fact I ended up changing motor mounts and installing an Ohlins Road and Track soon after lol. With the extra power, I needed to balance it out, edc was pretty much shot mileagewise. I just wanted to see what this new kit offered....

This should have more low and mid range torque plus be lighter Without changing engine internals I don't know why people expected more power |

More power is something I've never really craved from the 625 kit to be honest, but this weight savings is a very welcomed change!
Eager to hear more about the kit / real-world impressions.

It should have more low and mid range torque, but according to the dyno chart it doesn't. Am I missing something? I'm certainly not going to tear apart my existing kit just to shave off ~10lbs if that's the only benefit. For an extra $200 the G1 kit makes 25whp less than a VT2-625. Pretty underwhelming "upgrade" based on the dyno chart ESS posted.

Yeah, it would be nice to see one dyno chart showing G1 vs Vortech. For now I'm just comparing the individual charts posted on each product page.
