Let's talk about... adjusting the handbrake
Hi all,
I've come to find out my handbrake is very weak. The car will no longer hold even on a slight incline. I've searched the forums and haven't been able to come to a conclusion on how to fix this. I jacked up the rear of the car yesterday and removed one lug from each wheel. I was able to locate the metal "gear" looking piece through the lug hole and turn it with a flathead screwdriver (on both sides of the car). My car is DCT so I had it in neutral and the parking brake off. Unfortunately it didn't work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you engage the service lock under the interior handbrake boot to release the cable tension?

I did not. I figured there was something that needs to be done under the boot but I could not find anything on it or see where to do that

Thanks all for the feedback. One of the main things was realizing the handbrake needed to be completely down in order to push in the service tensioner.
Makes it difficult to reach down in there but it did the trick and disengaged the parking brake in order to adjust the gears at the rear
