BE Rod Bearing Life
What is the consensus on how many miles a new set of BE Rod Bearings should be good for, before needing to be replaced again?
I am looking at an M3 that had BE Bearings and ARP bolts put in at 35K miles, and the car currently has just under 60K miles. Trying to plan accordingly.. |

My car has ~18,000 miles on its BE bearings, installed at ~102,000 miles. Nobody is pulling these things out on a preventive basis that I'm aware of. In other words, who the hell knows, I would just run a few blackstone tests on successive oil changes and see where it's at. If there's lead (especially if it's a newer car that doesn't have lead in the mains) it's coming from the be bearings
