There is a mandatory oil change after break in mileage of the new rod bearings installed?

Yes, we have a mandatory oil change after the rod bearing service. 1,000 miles no more than 3k RPM and we do a full oil change.

I have a 2009 e93 m3 with roughly 85k+ miles on it, and I'm looking to get my rod bearings done ASAP (like within the next week). Can someone Pm me with a quote and a available time to come by?

Maintenance is great for a car's overall health. Higher mileage cars that are taken care of can still be good ones, but when it comes to original rod bearings, it's worth it to knock them out and save a huge headache.

With this change are you just resetting the clock for the bearings to eventually wear out again and this will have to be done again at some pt? Or is this a one and done job where if someone puts 70k on the new set and pulled them they'd look flawless?

The latter. VAC or BE bearings should (and have, for other people who have done a RB job on track rat cars) come out and look flawless. $3k out the door for bearings, motor mounts, and taxes is reasonable given the labor involved, and should last the life of the car. Obviously the new motor mounts will deteriorate over time, but at least your motor should be bulletproof provided you do regular maintenance.

Thank you Jeff & ACM team for taking care of that for me. I've thought long and hard before doing business with you guys. I was skeptical of the price offered but after shopping and asking around, $200-300 that your saving elsewhere is actually made up in parts and other things included in the repair. The rod bearing special you offer is far beyond worth more then your selling the service for.

Besides pricing, high level of professionalism, empathy and realism.

Also, after bumping into an ex client from an ex job when picking up my car, who owns BIG cars, gave me more of a relief that you guys know what your doing.

Will be seeing you in...... about 5-600 miles.

P.S. hate you Jeff for this torture.
