First error message - 2 weeks into ownership

Hi all, i just got my e92 M3 6MT 2 weeks ago

Long story short, i swapped in an old MOMO shift knob that I've had for a long time and left the illumination wire disconnected, I started the car and got DSC malfunction message. I turned the car off and back on again, the malfunction message is gone.

Has anyone experience similar issue?
Could it be a sign that throttle actuators are going?

Thanks

Scan the car and see what codes you have stored.

Ran the codes, look like TA is about to give while I am waiting for rod bearings to arrive. Guess I'll be doing both at the same time.

Look at it positively, if you do the RBs & TAs you'll have peace of mind that your car is in good shape now!

That is very true. There is also a metal noise getting into gears at low speed, from what I read so far it can either be CV joint/ U joint / driveshaft. Might take care of that at the same time as well.
