The minimal extra money was worth it to minimize downtime to the car imo.

Can you describe how you did the wiring? Looks like there is a black wire coming from the vehicle harness to one of the terminals on the switch- do all of the brown wires (ones coming from the vehicle harness and the motors) all get tied in to the one terminal on the switch?

Where are you guys getting me these oe manual silders. I only find the power sliders. My e92 had the power slider but long gone with the or seats.

How can I get a set of manual oe slider so I can use the bk seat mounts.

Thanks.

This past weekend we installed fixed back seats along with the BK hardware (seat mounts, harness bar) on the M3 CS!!

I don't get over how much better the OEM sliders feel vs the Recaro or Sparco sliders we've used in the best. The seat feels much more stable in the OEM ones

Thank you Brey Krause for making this awesome solution for us!

Is this the half cage to get if I want to still carry wheels in the rear seats? I figure I want to fit 3 wheels in the rear, one can sit in the trunk like I do today.

I would get the high angle version so stuff can pass through trunk area. Not immediately buying buy thinking ahead...

Getting wheels into an E92 seems like a PITA as is without any cage, with one it will probably be a real challenge.

I have the high angle one and its no problem getting three wheels in the back seat via the pass through.

Truth - it is a process. I've kept my passenger seat stock for this specific purpose. Fold that one forward and move it up to get some space, get 3 wheels into the folded down rear seats. Then one into trunk. Rest of my track gear goes in trunk.

Taking the thread back to its roots! Carrying 4 wheels in an E92 with driver and passenger fixed back seats and a BK harness bar. Basically you just put one wheel in through the trunk and push it into the back seat. Then you come around to the front and pick it up and set it on top of the harness bar cross-member. Then put one more in the back seat via the trunk, one more just sitting in the trunk, and one riding shotgun! If you were really determined, you could put 3 in the back seat by putting 1 on each side cross-member, but that's too much work for me. Kind of crappy pics, but hopefully you get the gist.

Can someone confirm if any e92 or e92 OEM manual sliders will work in our M3's with BK side mounts?

I ordered a pair Recaro's and I'm trying to figure out the remaining pieces. I know I can partially disassemble my seats (electric) but I'd rather go the manual route.

Yes they do

My E90 and E92 have manual sliders stock (cloth seats FTW) but the CS comes with electric sliders. I swapped them for manual ones from a random f30.

Give BK a call, they are really helpful. Their tech guy, Ian, is great

Thanks to Obioban for the tip, just picked up a set of i3 manual sliders off eBay to pair with BK Nogaro specific mounts and custom Nogaro seats. Apparently i3 sliders (also called seat tracks) work with the e9x m3 and are all manual sliders. Wanted to go that direction for simplicity of install this time.

Like many things on the i3, its seats show off what BMW could do if they really cared about weight. The factory seats (with sliders/etc) in it are ~30 lbs each-- barely more than my fixed back buckets with mounts/etc.

All goes in to having the entire car be <2800 lbs, despite a 700+ lb battery and being able to seat 4 adults in comfort, I suppose.

... I sure wish they'd design a performance car with the same ethos. I'm weirdly jealous of my own car

But, yep, all i3's use the same manual sliders as the e9X. And the early cars are so valueless, they should be getting totaled out pretty easily to harvest sliders from

When I put seats into the CS I used BK hardware (obviously) plus manual sliders

What a great find! Thanks for sharing.

I had an i3 and miss the functionality in the city for short trips. Really liked that ugly thing. Longer trips-not so much.

Confirmed i3 seat tracks are a match! Can't wait to get some buckets installed.

Also looks like good amount of slide forward so kids should be able to get in the back with ease.
