According to Tom at EAS, if you daily drive it the Z4M is a better suited battery since there's a lot of electronics going on.

I drove this Mini/BMW battery: Part#: 61 21 2 353 815

These sites don't say "unavailable" or "out of stock". Maybe they're worth a quick check:

If you are going to keep your car as dual duty, have you looked at the Cobra Nogaro seats? They are a fixed back seat but have a low cutout were the lap belt goes across so they play nice with the OEM three points on the street. I went with these. I should have them for the next Bimmer Challenge at BRP next month if you want to check them out.

Scroll down a bit and you'll see his write up on the seats.

Profi XL has a large enough lap belt opening to route the receiver inboard. This of course depends on the height your seat is mounted relative to the receiver. That version of cobra doesn't have much bolster but is good for dual purpose

I'd love to, but this might be another tough year for my hpde career... listed the house and might be moving (staying local). Still throws a wrench in the fun though.

Could you expand a little on how you made this work for your E90? I've seen and driven in the E46 Cobra Nogaro seats of the OP from the thread you linked, and they were amazing. But he wasn't sure how they would work for the E90. But looks like you solved this puzzle! Would be very tempted if I could make that switch...

everyone I know that has a sparco says that they aren't comfortable and have back soreness.

Brey-Krause makes Nogaro mounts that mount to the OEM Sliders for the E90. I have all the hardware and am waiting for the seats. So I haven't installed them yet. Do you have a reason to believe they don't work? 'Cause in that case, I have two Nogaro seats for sale :-)

Has anyone installed fixed back seats that can still get a few tires in the back seat area?

You just open the rear doors and put them in the back

Word of caution though...I bought the BK seat mount that bolts directly to the floor and it was wayyyyy too low. I'm 5'9" with a (relatively) tall torso and I could barely see over the speedometer hump on the highest setting. Even my friend who's 6' with a more"normally proportioned" (lol) torso still did not have good visibility. I bought the version that mounts to the OEM rails and will be installing it soon, but as far as I can tell it will be significantly taller.

A lot of online retailers do this for SEO ranking, you can even get an i3 carbon skeleton from ECS online (didn't bother to calculate shipping - lol):

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/41002925493/

OEM MINI battery (same as used in E46 M3 CSL) is NLA through BMW parts department, the Z4M is a better option anyway for those equipped with iDrive. For those that have single-hump dash, you might be able to find an aftermarket MINI equivalent.

I have a fixed back and now a BK harness bar in the back. I still have the stock passenger seat, but if I didn't you would really struggle to get a tire over the center console and into the back seat. "Tire only" wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm assuming you meant like an extra set of wheels/tires. I did remove my rear seats entirely, and did put 2 wheels/tires in the back seat by pushing them through the trunk, but it's quite cumbersome.
