just based off of what ive seen in the for sale section of this forum, with nothing else but what you have given me, I would value this in todays market around 34-35k+

mmm certainly low miles and should be mint. no nav meaning no drive? but has leather so not completely stripper plus has sun roof (cf roof goes for more) and dct, tough but I'd pay 29-32k depending whether car is truly mint and these are the specs I wanted (personally idrive was a must and so was cv roof). I ended up with an e90 MR anyways. Sub 20k miles find a rare thing and thats what makes this car desirable to me.

Yea, the pricing in this forum is different than general "fair market" I'd say. Enthusiast owned cars sold to other enthusiasts: My observation is 2-3k more for cars here for similar spec cars elsewhere. Just my 2cents.

mmm.... various reasons but mostly because I thought I needed a suv (so bought a jeep srt instead... And woman backed into the M3 in a parking lot within 30 days of purchase - never felt the same again; some bad luck crap as the car was very mint when I bought it; so even then I knew e I wasn't gonna keep that car very long - so it lasted 1 year and half) but I guess you're more interested on my thoughts re dct v. manual: dct was amazing specially that downshift wicked noise but dare I say I missed 6mt at times; dct needed to drive hard to be have fun and 6mt not so much. Only had 6mt for a month, but I can already tell I like it better. It's weird that 6mt "feels" faster to me even though facts are that's not the case. I think it's because I'm more engaged in extracting power. All in all, yes dct is the faster transmission hands down some may even say better, but there is something about shifting that 6mt that makes me feel "better" than dct lol. Would I buy dct again? certainly! I like dct but love 6mt.... but as you know many others feel different on this forum lol. You can't go wrong with either and the test drives won't help you decide either lol good luck w/ purchase.

14 months ago I sold my Audi R8 manual and miss her every day, it was a mistake as I needed to shift some money for an investment. A DR in California is loving the car now O well. The newer BMW are not as fun Plus not a big Turbo guy I rather have NA motors. Last edited by FASTTOYS; 11-28-2018 at 02:45 PM.. |

Car doesn’t even have comfort access, but she is super clean. I prefer not having NAV as my phone is better and older Navs date a car imo. So far thanks for all your inputs I truly appreciate it. Cars original MSRP was 69k

The numbers playing in your head are to an enthusiast, lower mileage doesn’t always mean better, the car has 18k miles and it’s 8 years old, 9 if you count the likely 09 prod date and the only thing done has been dct service oil and a battery?
Also, let’s not forget an enthusiast looking for a low mileage car will have a specific option list in mind and will nitpick until they find the exact spec which is why companies like EAG are in business. Sure the car could be worth $30k but to the right person and let’s face it, how long are you willing to wait for said person? OP no offense to you |

In the end, its amazing how lower miles doesn't help as much on a trade in verses a private party. Now I say If you own it drive it and enjoy it.
Unless it's a classic or a Ferrari equivalent low miles dont help as much other than wasting money making it a museum piece for the next owner which will be ME. Trade: Middle $25,480 Fair Low $23,220 Excellent High $26,930 Private party Middle value sell is 30k excellent & low 27.500 Last edited by FASTTOYS; 11-28-2018 at 02:49 PM.. |
