What struts/shocks are you running? I know you said OEM, but do you have ZCP, non-ZCP EDC, or no EDC?

The squared setup looks amazing but did it make the car understeer more due to the heavier and wider front tires? I wonder if that would upset the balance of the turn in.

Your understanding of how understeer and oversteer are impacted by front end changes is the opposite: there is less understeer now.

On my last E92 I ran a square 220M wheel (19x9.5” width) setup for a bit. Mounted Michelin PSS 275/30/19 and a variety of suspension setups. The square setup moves the vehicle from a slight understeer to slight oversteer when pushed. Combined with the M differential it makes for a very predictable and controllable disposition. Added benefit is a full tire warranty and ability to rotate tires/wheels 🤓 |

Great convo everyone. I’m running a square 19X10 ZCP setup and I’m not sure which sizes to get. I’m on stock ZCP suspension now but think I will lower in the future. Seems like 275/30 all around makes the most sense?

I picked up a spare set of 359s. I want to run a square 10" setup with 275/30/19s. Currently, I have 275/35/19s on the spare 10" wheels.
Just wanted to clarify that no spacers are needed on the front with the ET25 10" wheels with a stock ZCP (pretty sure that is what I have read over and over but it is nice to get a thumbs up!!). I have 15mm spacers on the front 9" wheels now with 255/35/19s now and I do get a little rub when turning sharp on the fender liners. Nothing major though. Boy... I guess I should have read to page 3 - sorry everyone. Cheers,

The spare 359s I picked up have a set of pretty new 275/35/19 Micheline Pilot Sports on the 10" rims. For grins and giggles, I put those on the front just to see how they looked. Love the extra concavity!
As far as fitment - boy, the 275/35/19 do NOT fit at all. Had enough time to take a quick photo. You will notice the front wheels are Hyper Silver while my rear wheels are Sonic Silver Metallic (45P/807/B/SSP). So, for those running 275/30/19s on 10" 359s on the front, there must be very little clearance right? PS4S 255/35/19 is 26" and with 15mm spacers on 9" 359s, I get a little rubbing when turning sharp in parking lots PS4S 275/30/19 is 25.6" diameter PS4S 275/35/19 is 26.6" diameter and these do not fit at all So, just checking to make sure one more time before I buy tires. Also, when I put my centre caps in the 10" 359s from my 9" 359s, they seemed to be a little loose. Anyone run into this? Should I just get a pair of new centre caps? Finally, not sure which colour I should go with on the wheels - Hyper or Sonic silver... Oh, the choices. Thanks again for the help!! Cheers,

the new style of center caps from BMW are complete shit. They feel sooo cheap compared to the older styles. If they are lose, replace them.
for the 10x, yes 275/30/19 fits on the front!!! dont mind my dirty ass wheels, stoptech pads are super dusty.

I know - just being extra super cautious before buying $1800 worth of tires... Please forgive me!! I modelled my 255/35/19 9" fronts with 15mm spaces as ET16 wheels and the results seems good to go to 275/30/19ET25 10" wheels. Thank you all again for the help and dealing with my overly cautious approach to this. Such awesome information available here!! Cheers,

I am planning on going squared as well, did you end up buying these tires? With the help of this thread, I'm leaning on going 275/30/19 front, however 295/30/19 rear with a 12mm spacer. Just wanting to know your thoughts if you indeed got your tires and are now running rear squared. Thanks in advance. |

With the 12mm spacer, is there enough room for 295 in the rear? Or do you think a 10mm spacer with 295s would be better? Thanks again. |
