Bluetooth ringtone
I have searched and RTFM but I can not figure out how to change the ring tone of idrive for bluetooth.
Surely, our only option isn't the ridiculous high-pitched whine? |

I'm interested in that too. Didn't see any options when messing with iDrive. And after 12 hours driving the car home, I consider myself an iDrive expert . My Accord 6MT has the option of ring, verbal announcement, or nothing. I have the ring, so it doesn't bother me having it on this car, but was curious if I missed the option to change it somehow. Don't remember the manual mentioning anything about that either. Take care.

with my nokia n85 I can match optional profiles for bluetooth car connection:
settings - general - accessories - car accessories (wireless) and iDrive takes the ring tone from this profile... |

My phone doesn't have any 'profiles' under the bluetooth menu, so no luck for me.
But you mentioned 'iDrive at the lowest volume'. I didn't notice any volume option on my iDrive, but I have an '08; wonder if that's new for '09, or am I missing something, like lowering the stereo volume while it rings??? Thx. |
