is it? i will have to pay attention to the idle RPM when i'm going home tonight

i was alarmed because the RPM just dropped out of nowhere when the car had not sufficiently warmed up
and it wasn't a gradual drop
i could hear and feel the RPM dip low so i looked at the gauge and i saw the RPM drop from above 1k to 500 in like 2 seconds in 2 waves

Yea same for me, drops in like two stages but sits slightly above 500 regularly. I think it idles a bit higher when it’s cold out but I don’t remember. But one of the resident M3 gurus said 525 was normal idle speed

The new ones are a bit oversized and don’t properly screw into the clip. Unless you ream each clip the screw will go in half way, get stuck, then spin the whole clip itself tearing your brand new belly pan.

Thanks. I'll take my chances. I'm not replacing the pan. There's a few missing screens that I want to replace.

Washed and used Sonax Spray + Seal for the first time. Considering that you spray this stuff on a wet car, rinse it off and dry, the finish is amazing IMHO. It couldn't have been easier. We'll see how it holds up since this is my daily and not garaged.

Installed my new tune from Alex! Throttle is definitely smoother and it pulls harder throughout the rev range. Software and cable worked great and it was easy to use.

Now I have to figure out what the little miss is at low RPM's. Changed plugs within the last 4k miles and I'm getting no DTC's. I'll figure it out eventually.

I’m curious about that stuff too, kind of too good to be true. Also how it compares to let’s say Griots spray on wax (spray on wet car and dry it)
Does it feel totally different to the touch?

Can’t wait to do mine also. I will reach out to Alex as soon as I’m ready. I will also do the DCT!
